<A Step Closer to Nature 8.0 – Environmental Cleaning>

Many thanks to all members and volunteers of International Song Tao Charity Foundation for joining A Step Closer to Nature – Chapter 8.0 on 28th June 2020. Remis Beach is located at Jeram, Kuala Selangor and is known for its stunning sunset view. Although it’s not suitable for swimming due to its geographical reasons (covered with rocks along the shore), this beach is popular among local residents for its seaside atmosphere and seafood.

All the members gathered at Petaling Jaya office and depart at 6:45am. Upon reaching the destination, we were warmly greeted by the officer from Majlis Daerah Kuala Selangor, Mr. Aliff. In accordance to SOP, all members had their temperature taken by the officer before we start the activity. We manage to collect around 15 bags of rubbish within 2 hours and all these bags are then collected by the waste management truck. The main pollutants or rubbish that was found along the rocky shore are plastic bottles. We hope through this activity, we can create awareness to public on the importance of maintaining our beach cleanliness and also to not use plastic as it can cause harm to the marine life.

International Song Tao Charity Foundation hopes that through this activity, we can gather more people to spread the awareness and to protect our environment.
